MTA Receives Record of Decision for the Red Line Project from FTA

A Record of Decision (ROD) was issued on February 28, 2013 for the Baltimore Red Line Project by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). By issuance of the ROD, the FTA has determined that the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act have been satisfied. The FTA is the lead federal agency for the project, while the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) is serving as the project sponsor. The ROD applies to the Preferred Alternative described in the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) and Draft Section 4(f) Evaluation issued on December 14, 2012.
